Update: Super Kicks Karate is referring all after school and day camp students to Center Stage Preschool. Check out Center Stage programs here!
Loudoun County Public School system is unique in that it offers two choices for half day Kindergarten, an AM option and a PM option. This can leave some families in a lurch for before or afterschool care. Luckily, we at Super Kicks Karate in Ashburn, VA, have a fantastic program that accommodates kindergarteners. Not only do we offer free transportation to and from your child’s school, but we have a wonderful morning enrichment program, creative activities and games, and homework help from experienced teachers. So without further ado, let me introduce you to our Before and After School Program Director:
Hi, my name is Joanna Cepeda. I am a lively mother of two who has been teaching and in education for over 12 years. I am so pleased to be aboard the Super Kicks Karate team heading the education side and getting to know all of the students in Ashburn, VA. As the director, I am excited to be implementing schedules and programs that will ensure not only a fun time, but also an opportunity to learn in a safe and fun environment.
I am especially excited about the morning kindergarten program we have here at Super Kicks Karate. The program focuses on supplementing what your child is already learning in kindergarten and reviewing what most kindergarteners have already learned. Review of phonics, math and language arts are done in a fun and innovative way and weaved in with reading time to reinforce reading skills. The kindergarteners also love PE time in gym to practice skills and techniques learned in their martial arts classes as well as physical activities that allow students to learn through movement and get out energy.
I am looking forward to sharing our fun in a weekly blog post for all to check out and be a part of.
Every day is a new day to learn, grow and have fun!
