At Leesburg Super Kicks Karate, students will learn more than just martial arts. They’ll learn how to take care of their body through nutrition, and learn how to take care of others with responsibility and discipline. Our karate classes offer goals to students for maintaining a healthy diet and a healthy attitude.
Gold Star Attitude
We ask our students to do seven chores per day for a month. At the end of the month, if they’ve met that goal, we reward them with a gold star. This gold star is prominently displayed on their uniform.
Each gold star is a visual reminder of just what they’ve accomplished. The more gold stars they earn, the better they’ll feel about themselves. They’ve learned responsibility and how to maintain a healthy attitude.
It also offers an attitude of discipline: doing seven chores a day requires dedication and a can-do attitude. These traits don’t just apply to a martial arts class: these extend to the everyday life outside of the classroom.
One of our students recently earned his 50th gold star, a new record for Super Kicks Karate! We hope that his perseverance and good attitude will inspire other students to reach high with their attitudes.
Feed the Body
We also strive to encourage our students to treat their bodies well. This encourages self respect and self discipline. We have our students set goals on what sort of a diet they’ll follow for a month. By choosing what they put into their bodies, they learn what helps their body grow stronger, and what leaves the body weaker. Processed food, junk food, and sugar can leave a body weak.
Healthy choices give your body the fuel it needs to do incredible things, both in martial arts and in everyday life. A leader will make the right choices to make themselves better, even if it’s not the sweet treats or the junk they want to eat.
By learning to take responsibility for their actions, students focus on building themselves up and taking care of the world around them. This helps them learn respect, both for themselves and for others.
Super Kicks Karate aims to teach these goals to students, both in the classroom and outside of it. If you’re interested in having your child learn these life values, sign up for a class at Super Kicks Karate. Call (571) 293-2467.
